WaykiChain Super Node Election Conference in Xi’an Concluded Successfully
On April 18, 2021, WaykiChain Super Node Election Conference in Xi’an concluded successfully! This was the sixth conference following ones in Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Changsha, Hangzhou, and Wuhan. We once again thank all honored guests, partners, media, community users, and team members who came to the venue for the attention and support!
This conference attracted about 100 community users. At the venue, each of them got a 20,000 WGRT airdrop. Five lucky participants won prizes: a 50,000 WGRT airdrop, a customized WaykiChain gold bar, and three WaykiChain-branded gifts, respectively.

WaykiChain Community Manager Chenggang Yan presented the speech “How the Potential Power of DeFi Can Help WaykiChain Seize the Commanding Heights among Public Chains”. Mr. Yan talked about the basic meaning and functions of DeFi and the types and features of WaykiChain’s DeFi products.
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) leverages blockchain to offer permissionless financial services, to help the financial industry solve the lack of trust, improve efficiency, and reduce costs and thus let everyone stand a chance for financial dividends. The services span across collateral lending, financing & investment, trading, AMM (automatic market makers), and financial derivatives etc.
WaykiChain is an integrated DeFi public chain. At the underlying layer, an efficient and safe financial blockchain infrastructure is built. At the upper layer, a one-stop decentralized financial product service revolving around DeFi products is developed for users and institutions. WaykiChain boasts of its decentralized collateral lending system Wayki-CDP, the stablecoin WUSD, the decentralized exchange Wayki-DEX, and the decentralized synthetic asset protocol Wayki-X already launched for community users.
Mr. Yan pointed out that these DeFi products are ecosystem applications on the WaykiChain public chain. The former help promote the implementation of the latter, while the latter is the cornerstone of the former. They complement and promote each other!
WaykiChain Technical Advantages and Future Planning
WaykiChain Web Front-end Engineer Shanshan Pan presented the speech “WaykiChain Technical Advantages and Future Planning”.
The WaykiChain team has independently developed and constructed a public-chain system. They have laid a safe and efficient underlying foundation residing on the WASM + Lua VM dual smart-contract engine, the UTXO + Account dual model, and cross-chain. Next, WaykiChain gradually shifts from a centralized development model towards decentralized governance.
On-chain governance includes parameters, asset management, CDP, DEX, and cross-chain and requires approval by over 2/3 of the Governance Committee. However, account & Committee governance and the total number of Super Nodes require approval by over 2/3 of the Super Nodes. There is off-chain governance, too. It mainly includes BP voting and node upgrades.
In the upcoming technical development, WaykiChain will focus on the following three aspects: project optimization (including comprehensive modularization and forkless upgrades), the multi-chain architecture, and privacy technology.

WaykiChain Honorary Ambassador Yingjia Ding shared his personal experience in blockchain, his WaykiChain history, and ways to contact the team and become a WaykiChain evangelist.
Later, Mr. Ding also shared his personal opinion on the current market trend based on years of experience in the industry and the cyclic nature of bullish and bearish periods.

WaykiChain Overseas Marketing Director Tingting Wen presented the speech “How WaykiChain Expands the Overseas Markets during the Global Crypto Surge” and elaborated on the various online and offline efforts of the company.
On May 31, 2018, WaykiChain rolled out its first global roadshow. It started in South Korea and was followed by visits to Russian government officials, an invitation to visit Montenegro, and offline meetups in Singapore, Turkey, Vietnam, and other countries.
Last year and this year, due to the epidemic, WaykiChain has been unable to hold offline events overseas. However, it has not halted its marketing activities and held a plenty of online events, such as AMAs, the “What You Know About WaykiChain” content creation contest, and a meme contest etc.
WaykiChain has built a strong global consensus and has been listed on many cryptocurrency information and data integration platforms, such as Xangle, Holdex, and Blockspot. WaykiChain has broadened its media cooperation by adding Cointelegraph, NEWSBTC, Yahoo Finance, The Asahi Shimbun, 웹진 (Coin Choice), CoinNess, Coinreader, etc. to the stack.
Community-oriented Development of WaykiChain’s Super-Node-run Public Chain
WaykiChain Community Operations Director Dongzhi Li presented the speech “Community-oriented Development of WaykiChain’s Super-Node-run Public Chain” and explained the reasoning of the Super Node Program and voting rules.
The intention behind deploying Super Nodes is to make WaykiChain more decentralized and safer. In this process, the company must also prevent problems in other nodes, e. g. loss of node operators and partners.
Super Node election and voting rules:
1. There are a total of 21 Super Nodes. The threshold to become a Super Node is ≥ 1 million votes.
2. One WICC is one vote. One vote can be cast for one Super Node candidate only.
3. The WICC used in voting will be locked in the wallets. A vote can be withdrawn and changed 3 days after it was cast.
4. The election cycle is one day. The node rank updates every day. If users want to change their votes, they can withdraw them and vote again. The change will take effect in the next election cycle.
The present community users showed a strong interest in WaykiChain’s ecosystem apps and product operations. The staff and speakers answered all of their questions and cleared all doubts. The venue had a lively atmosphere!
